We woke up pretty early and were on the road by 9:30am. I was ready to get the hell out of Zion Park - even though it was beautiful. We made our way to Interstate 15 and before we knew it, we saw our first palm trees! Tom and I were so excited. The weather had also climbed to about 64 degrees. Soon we were just outside of Las Vegas. We decided we wouxld make a brief stop; Tom wanted to take some shots of me & Ham in front of New York New York Casino. It was kind of nice being in Vegas just for fun, and not work. Back on the road it wasn't long before we crossed the California border!! We both kept saying outloud, "I can't believe we're here!" A few hours and a lot of traffic later, we saw the signs leading us directly to San Diego. Ironically just as we approached, it started to rain. By 5pm we rolled up to Earle and Joanne's (Tom's parents) place and surprised them by ringing the doorbell, hiding, and sending Ham in. We hung out for awhile, then left them to fend for our dog as we went out to celebrate! We had arrived!!
